My name is Lars Ulriksen and I am a representative of the SONY Europe Marketing Group. The intention of this letter is to keep your organization updated on the sponsorship program for the the World Cup 2010. We always strive to work with broad organizations where the work we do reaches, not just sole individuals but whole communities. We want to keep giving opportunities for consultations between our clients and the public and continue to develop our brand by creating beneficial associations with FIFA. As far as I know our legal consultants have already contacted you with the expectations we have on this sponsorship. Just as a reminder here is a brief summary of our :

  • Rights to exposure of company brand, name, products or events. This can be used in commercials, publicity or other communication tools used by the sponsor.
  • Rights for exclusive associations with products and/or events.
  • Rights to mention events or facility.
  • Rights to use special connections to phrases, expressions or facilities. This could be anything regarding “official partner” or “presented by”.
  • Rights to use organizations product or service in events or facilities.
  • Rights to set up special marketing efforts together with sponsor.


Since our contract requires us to fulfill financial objectives we request that you live up to our requests. I would appreciate it if you could write me back with an update on the work efforts you are focused on right now when it comes to our partnership. From working with the FIFA foundation, Sony has realized the vast amount of loyal viewers FIFA has attracted. With the upcoming launch of Sony’s 3-D products, we are confident that the FIFA World Cup will be the perfect event to introduce our immaculate entertainment system and appreciate your willingness to support Sony is this exciting accomplishment. We are aware of the high viewership of the FIFA World Cup and know that from our involvement with FIFA we will attract a wider demographic of viewers.

FIFA is partnered with SONY as well as VISA, Coca-Cola, Emirates, Hyundai/Kia and Adidas. FIFA’s core values include helping communities, furthering athletic involvement at universities around the world and local schools, giving to charities and bringing the world a multi-cultural event.
