Draft Media Pitch

To: Charles McCollum, Managing Editor, The Herald Journal
Subject: CVAIA gives Cache Valley hope for financial independence

Dear Charles McCollum,

I write to inform and explain to you what a local a group in the valley is doing to promote financial independence. The Cache Valley Area Investors Association is dedicated to boosting the valleys' economy through informing the residents of wise investment strategy and passive income.

The CVAIA meets every other Thursday in the Cache County Chamber of Commerce and all are welcome to attend. At these meeting they discuss the practices found in books such as "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," "The Wealthy Barber," "Millionaire Next Door" and "The Automatic Millionaire." They invite guest speakers to share wise financial planning strategies and investment tips.

The CVAIA was founded in 2007 by Preston Parker, a professor at USU, and currently has 15 members and more than 100 followers on facebook. Spotlighting the CVAIA would be both beneficial to the organization and to The Herald Journal in the fact that many residents are searching for economic advice and aid. If The Herald Journal included information for ways the residents may find and achieve financial independence, readership would increase and the publication would act as a medium between readers and their ways to accomplish their goals.

For more detailed information on the CVAIA please visit the group's website, www.cvaia.com or feel free to contact me directly.

Sincerely,

McKell Webb
